At the Chester meeting to-day the following was the result of The Chester Oop, of 700 soys, added to a handicap sweepstake of 25 eovs each ; 15ft for three-year-olds and upwards ; the owner of the Beoond horse to receive 100 eovs, aud the third horae 50 tiovs from the stakes ; the winner, after January 26th, at 10 a.m., of the One Thousand Guineas or Two Thousand Guineas Stakes at Newmarket m 1888 } or a handicap value 600 soys, to carry 14lb j if a handicap value 300 soys, 71b extra, Old Cup course (nearly two miles and a quartor). 49 subs., 17 of whom declared forfeit.
