BANK RATE.
The Bank rate of discount has risen 3 per cent. (Received May 11, 1.25 p.m.) NEW LAND BILL. i Sydney. May 11. The eighteenth clause m the Land Bill, which gives power to Government to fix rents without allowing any appeal, has been under discussion m the House during the last three days. An amendment to make rents subject to tbe decision of the Land Court has been negatived by 47 to 14. Anbther amendment nearly to the same effect has been given notice of, m order that the question may be further discussed.
