TINWALD TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Tlnwald Town Board w»b he'd on Friday last, Present — Mee&ra Olark (in tho chair), | Scott. Shearer and Jephaon. Correspondence was lead from tho Railway Department re putting in pipes across Railway lino for town water supply. Received. Tho following tenders were aooeptad for Works : — Johnston street, Jamea Taylor, 4s 6d per chain for formation, la 6d per yard for shingle. Drain from Grove stroot to .Angle road, 0, O'Connor at 3s 6d par chain. Ford MoAlardo street, C. O'Connor at £6 6j. Wator r?.oe from Domain South and Lowe at la 6i per chain. It was resolved that tho drain down Johnston street from Grove street to Angle road be taken along the north-east side of the street, and that the old drain be used as much as possible. Only one tender was received for leasing; pravol reserve near the Saleyards from J. W. Prinimer at £1 per annum.— lt wbb resolved " That Mr Primmer be let the reserve at the price stated in hie tender for five years, provided he fences it with a doable wire fence, and plants gorse all round, and pats the necessary gates." It waa resolved on the motion of Mr Jophson, " That the bridge on the Lagmhor road be taken up and tho oroeslng fi led up. The Surveyor waa Instructed to have fords on Meloombe street attended to. The Olerk tsb Instructed to take the necessary steps to fill the vacancy on the Board o»uoed by the retirement of Mr J. M. Reid. It was resolved to call for tenders for forming footpath on Thomson street, between Graham's ro»d and Agnes street to be in by Friday next. Tho Chairman and Mr Scott to accept a tender. After routine business the meeting n<i joarned.
