I Sydney, May 4. The French war ship Dives arrived and will leave shortly for the New Hebrides, where she will joia the war ship Decles. The captain of the latter vessel will represent France, and Captain Clayton, of H.M.S. Ihamond, will represent Great Britain on the Commission appointed to administer the affairs of the group. The Calliope will accompany the Diamond "to the New tjebripes. The Canadian-Pacific Company will shortly begin negotiations wkh the Australian Governments m connection with the proposed Pacific-Canadian mail route.
