Mr Baddeley, who waß on the Benoh, santenoed the boys to ten daya imprisonment, and ordered that they be separated from the other prisoners, snd to receive a whipping with a birch rod. The tailors' Btrike continues, and at a maetlng of the Journeymen Tailors' Society yesterday evening it vraa decided to join the Trade Oounoil. Letters expressing sympathy and support were read from societies m the South, and also from the Auckland Trade Oounoil, It was stated by men on picket m the street who are watching the shopß affected, that work is being sent out of first-class shops to slop faotoriea and to slop Bhops In town, to be done by persons that would not be allowed to work for them at other timt a. It was also reported that there are now over twenty men out on strike. About a dozen have left town, and have gone to Australia.
