ACTON.

The annual meeting of hoaseholdern was held In the Dorle sohoolroom on Monday evening. ' There vraa a good attendance considering the state of the weather, and Mr McLean was voted to the chair.

The Chairman on behalf of the late Oommlttee read a report congratulating the householders on at last having Buoh a good sohcol ereoted and famished wf'h every requisite by the Board of Education. The aohool work was progressing most satisfactorily, and a hr.po was expressed that it might oontinaa to do bo in the future. It was very pleasing to have to report that the , appointment of Miss Fisher as mistress' was a decided ■aooesß. The attendance at present was only seventeen, bat hopes were entertained that this number would materially inorease.

Oa the motion of Mr D. Duaoan, sooonded by Mr M^orrow, the report and balance-sheet were adopted.

A. vote of thanks to the outgoing Committee and Miss Fisher, the teacher, was unanimously carried,

The following were then elected for the eneulng year : — Mesaes MoLeaD, D, Daacaa, Morrow, W. Harrison, J. J, Duncan, W. McMillan, and W. Stewart.

A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
