THE IRISH APPEALS.
In the House of Commons, a motion,; censuring the Irish Judges for incfeas- ' ing the sentences on those sentenced for inciting to resistance was rejected by a majority of 54. The appeal of Mr Jasper Pyrie, M.P? for Waterford, who was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment for inciting " resistance to the Sheriff, was successful^; and the conviction has been quashed.
