London, April 24 New consols are yi below par. At the wool auctions 1400 bales were sold.
London, April 25 An Australian wheat cargo of 4000 quarters, April shipment, has been sold at 335 f}£d', 9000 quarters of March shipment, and 8000 of May, have been disposed of at 33s 3d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mer cantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from London, dated April 24th ; — Wool — The sales progress firmly. For superior greasy and coarse crossbred the market is firmer; other descriptions are unchanged. The total quantity catalogued to date is 192,000 bales, and the total withdrawn is 13,000 bales.
Wheat — Market steady. New Zealand wheats (average and long berried) are worth 35s and 34s 3d per 4961b. Quotation for New Zealand wheat, new crop, f.a.q. c.i.f,, to arrive, is nominally 31s per 4801b.
New Zealand Hemp — Medium is worth 10s per ton.
