MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.
In consequence of the delay m allotting space for machinery exhibits at the Melbourne Exhibition, many of the intending exhibitors have withdrawn their applications for space m order to avoid the heavy freight charges by steamers, which_ would not have been necessary, had sufficient time been given to permit of exhibits being sent by sailing vessels.
