The pair was followed by Authentic and Meada aa they ran round the tarn, bat at the top of the straight Glenlora fell back, leaving Mountain Deer with a olear head In front of Authentic and Meada. Monotain Deer was Btlll m front at the distanoe, the reat being under tha whip, but Authentic, running very gamely under punifthmant, got up at the raita, and won comfortably by half a length. Mountain Deer then drew away from Goldfinch, but at the dißtanoe was i challenged by Glenlora and a desperate 'race home ensued, Mountain Deer winning by a head.
