Pbrth, April 11. The contractors for the construction of the Beverley-Albury railway have made a proposition to the Government to lay a cable from here to India on the conditions that they retain the sole right to work it, and are granted certain concessions on the land lines. A collision has occurred on the railway line near Claremont, between an engine and a passenger train, The train was a good deal damaged, but none of the passengers were seriously injured, though some received a severe shaking.
