RAILWAY STRIKES.

New Yobk, April 4

Operators on railway lines running m Chicago refuse to touch the rolling stock of the Qu'ncey line, where a strike among the railway employes still continues. Wholesale discharges are being made, and several strikes have resulted. The situation is considered critical, and a serious disturbance is feared.

April 6. A number of railway engine-men have left Chicago for New Zealand as a result of the Chicago-Quincey strike, which still continues.
