Brisbane, April 3
Government has sent a communication to the commander of the Egeria which has been commissioned to survey the proposed cable route to Vancouver, asking at whose instance the survey has been ordered, and at -which point it is intended to make a start, The commander has refused to give the desired information, and the Government have sent instructions to the Agent-General to procure the information from the Admiralty.
