THE UNIVERSITIES RACE.
The race between Oxford and Cambridge was regarded as a foregone conclusion, but still large crowds assembled to witness it. Cambridge had it all their own way from the start and won without a struggle. It was the tamest race on record. Cambridge also won the deciding event at the University sports.
