SHIPMENT OF AUCKLAND-BRED STOCK TO SYDNEY
Mr W, Barnes, a latge station-holder and extensive breeder on the Clarence River, New South Wales, recently visited Auckland, and during his stay In this oity he purchased a valuable collection of Auckland bred stock — five Clydesdale horsed and five Hereford cattle. The Clydesdales, a fine lot, and which include aa excellently-built two-year-old colt by Loch Fergus, were bred at Sylvia Park ; and these were ebippod to Sydney the other afternoon by the a. a. Tarawera, Mr Barnes being a passenger by that steamer. The cattle are from the famona herds of Hesarßß. and S. Maclean, of Howick, and they are to be Bent to Sydney by the B.s. Te Anau, which leavea on Tuesday next.— "N.Z. Herald."
