The Cambridge and Oxford boat race was won by Cambridge by five lengths. Cambridge led at the start, and kept ahead throughout the race. Time, 20min. 3sec. The weather was fogyy.
Messrs Land ale and Hawthron Bell, Australians, rowed fourth and . sixth respectively in the Cambridge boat.
