I Sydney, March 24 The Company owning the VVaratah Coal Mines refuses to grant any con cessions to the men who are now out on strike, and has declined to accept the proposal that the matter in dispute should be submitted to arbitration. Sydney, March 25. A heavy thunderstorm passed over portions of the colony this afternoon At Banenjoey a house was struck by lightning and was burned to the ground. It subsequently transpired that a man was in the house at the time and it is supposed ha perished in the flames.
