THE SYDNEY FRAUDS.
A metropolian board embracing the city and suburbs have taken over the control of the water and sewage systems. Much surprise is occasioned by Government appointing as engineer and officers, three of the men suspended by the Mayor for allowing frauds to be perpetrated. In connection with the frauds, the city solicitors state that a criminal prosecution will ' be taken against one of those who signed fraudulent vouchers, but the matter is at present m abeyance.
