SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
ApjSLAipE, Maroh 21. The exodus of South Australian farmers still continues, and large numbers of agriculturists are leaving this colony every week for Victoria and other Colonies. To-day a deputation of farmers waited on the Commissioner of Crown Lands. In the course of the interview it was stated abject poverty was staring farmers m the face. The deputation asked for relief from the Government, pointjng out that it was utterly impossible for the farmers of the colony to battle against the djf^ ficulties which hampered them unless some assistance was held out to them. They asked that the Government should either distribute seed wheat to all Crown tenants actually engaged m agricultural pursuits, or that they should be allowed a remission of their rent. The Commissioner promised that h? would carefully consider each case on its merit".
