DUTIES ON ALCOHOL.
Paris, Maroh 16. A subsequent motion to that agreed to by the Chamber of Deputies, abolishing the wine duties, was tabled, proposing an increase of duty on alcohol. After considerable discussion the latter motion was rejected, thus upsetting the Committee's whole scheme.
