CIVIL CASE.
Taeker v Tait, claim £9 143.— Mr Cutbbertaon for plaintiff, Mr Crisp for defendant. — The claim was for wages, part at 10a and pa.rt at 15a a week A set-off had bsen filed, Mr Cuthbertaon objected to the set-off because it had not been filed m time, and also beoause the lterra Bbould not properly be Included. The set-off was for board and lodging, and for damages alleged to have been sustained through the abrupt departure of the plaintiff The deiendant further denied that ihe plaintiff was entitled to an Increase of 53 a week, rb claimed by him. The cliim for damages, amounting to £5, was not pressed by defendant. — Judgment for amount claimed and costs. The Court then rose.
