STORMS IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL.
Severe gales have been experienced m the English Channel, and several of the Boulogue steamers narrowly escaped being wrecked near Folkestone. Telegraphic communication with the Continent is interrupted. Three of the Brixton life boat's crew were drowned m going off to the wreck of a vessel named the Syria.
