Two fatal tramway accidents ha?a occurred recently. In one a man and his son were standing on the step oi the car when they were knocked off by coming into contact with a telegraph post on the road to Botany. The father had his brains knocked out and his sob was terribly injured. la the second st woman stepped m front of a motor at Newcastle and was cut to pieces. She was somewhat deaf, and it is presumed she did not hear the approach of the engine.
The cricket match, Lillywhite's team v Australian E'even, was resumed today. The former have made 255 for 6 wickets, Shrewsbury, not oui, 120; Briggs, 54 ; Lohman, 39.
