Owing to the large ex .dus of farmers from here to Victoria the Government have been urged to advertise that suitable dist'icts m the south-east portion of the colony and elsewhere are still open to agricul urists. Sime of the evidence taken by the Land Commissioners who were requested to mike enquiries into the position of farmers show lhat privations of a mos 1 piiiable character have been undergone.
