Melbourne, Marob 9 It has been announced tbat m view of the removal of the prohibition on the importation of stock by various colonies, an arrangement has been come to between all the colonies, by which tbej will combine to pay an expert to inspect all stock shipped tor the colonies at London; should he meet with any unhealthy animals he will immediately advise the several Governments by cable, and upon the arrival of the vessel containing them the animals wilj be quarantined, AH the colonies have approved of the proposal for an inspection by an Imperial officer, excepting New South Wales. Mr Gillies, Premier, is now m communication with Sir Henry Parkes and is pressing him to agree to the arrangement.
