Six racehorses were burned to death m a stable near Mudgee last night, It is supposed to be a case of incendiarism.
The question of the legality of selling newspapers on 'Sunday was settled by the Court of Appeal to-day, the decision being against the defendant, who had been fined by a Magistrate. He applied for an order restraining the Magistrate, and on the decision being against him went to the Superior Court, which, after considerable delay, has confirmed the decision, one Judge d'ssenting.
Mr D'bbs' motion of censure on the Government for their connection with the purchase or the property on Circular Quay is regarded with disfavor by ihe Opposition, being generally considered a mere waste of time. Sir Henry Parkes has announced that there should not be more than two Government speeches on the motion.
