EXTENSIVE DOCK YARD FRAUDS

London, Maroh 6. It is reported that extensive frauds have been discovered m Devonport dockyards, which compromise all ranks of employes there. Detectives are now making a thorough investigation into the matter It is not yet known whether ordinary workmen are implicated m the frauds, but it is asserted that a number of officers and men on the permanent staff are mixed up m dishonest practices which have been going on for a long time past. A number of copper workers have already been arrested for fraudulent practices. It is alleged they have been m the habit of nsing Government material for private work and that perform this private . work during hours m which they should I have been engaged on Government work.
