THE NAVAL ESTIMATES.
The British Navy is to be augmented by nine new protected war vessels and thirteen unarraoured vessels m addition to the Australian Squadron. When the Navy Estimates were under discussion m the House of Commons Lord George F. Hamilton, First Lord of the Admiralty, said the British Navy when augmented by the additions for which the proposed expenditure was asked would be superior to the navy of any foreign Power.
