Mrs Gordon BaiHlehad not obtained any actual concessions of land from the Government on behalf of the Crofters, irhe had applied for 70,000 acres at Wilson's Promontory but left suddenly before completing arrangements, it being subsequently ascertained that she had victimised a number of tradesmen.
