London, March 2 In tho House of Commons Sir Chas. Russell, M. P. for Hackney, moved " That a Committe be appointed to inquire into tho right of Government to prohibit meetings m Trafalgar square." In the discussion which followed, Mr Majthovfs, Home Secretary, said the Government accepted tbe responsibility of their action, and declared the sole reason for prohibiting meetings was to prevent saturnalia and disorder . Further discussion of the motion was adjourned. In tho House of Commons, this evenin?, Mr Matthews, Home (Secretary, said tho Government would treat the motion tabled by (Sir Chaß. Russell, M.P. for Hackney, with reference to the prohibition of meetings m Trafalgar Square, aa a vote of censure on tho action of the Government, if agreed to by the House.
