The Volunteer Cavalry which was paraded at the Jubilee celebra'ions /was a very fine and sol'iier-like bdy or mon indeed They do not drill like the Lifeguards, but thoy are a very serviceable set of men of whom any couDtry might bo proud When I was at Adelaide at the Governor's levee I was astonished by the blaze of uniforms by which T was surrounded, Considering that Southern Australia is a democrat o industrial community that has never had a shot fired m angor since it came into being, it was surprising to see as many offict-rs aa if you bad been m one of the military Oourts cf Europe, aod as it wis at Adelaide so it was elsewhere.
