VICTORIA.
Melbourne, February 28. The " Herald " reports that a regular duel was recently fought at Caulfield, between a Civil Servant and a local
barrister. The quarrel, it is stated, arose out of a ball-room dispute. The belligerents used pistols, and fired at each other at twelve paces, the result of the shots being that the' barrister was wounded m the arm. All the timehonored observances m such matters were strictly adhered to, seconds and a doctor being on the ground.
