London, February 23. The weakness m prices at the closing sales of the wool auctions is attributed to the political disquietude m Europe, and also that many of the outside markets are now supplied direct from the colonies .
The market rate of discount is 1^ per cent.
London, February 24. A thousand quarters of Australian wheat have been sold at 30s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has just received tho following cable message from London, dated February 23rd : — Frozen meat — Mutton market ha 3 a hardening tendency, and stocks are decreasing. New £ealaad mutton, weighing GOlb to 651 b per carcase, is worth 4 -Ld per lb, and lamb 6|d per lb.
