Sydney, February 23. A scrutiny demanded by the defeated Freetrade candidate m the recent Paddinglon election has resulted m the Parliamentary Committee appointed to carry it out more than doubling the sitting membei's majori y. The morning train for the South ! ran into a goods train near Granville junction, smashing up nine trucks and the engine and blocking the line for some hours. The fireman was slightly injured but there were no other casualties.
