The Fisheries treaty' with Canada provides inter alia for the free admis sion of fish. Commercial reciprocity is not conceded. Mr BayaTd, Secretary of State for the United tates, expresses himself satisfied with the terms of the treaty.

Mr Irnes states that the three mile limit m the Fisheries treaty is to be calculated as three miles from the nearest shore. The privileges of American fishermen m Canadian por-s are to be widened.
