The following are the ruling rates of the markets: — Oats as to 23 id, but very small sales are reported ; N.Z. bran, 6^d ; pollard, yd, with a stsady ; demand ; chick wheat, 2s o,d to 3s ; for milling purposes, 3s 41! 10 3s 6 1 ; butter, 3d to 6d ; factory made, B<i ; cheese, 2d to 4d ; potatoes, 60s per ton ; bacon 8 J£d to 9>£d for best brands ; hams, is ; barley, Cape shipments, 3s to 3s 3d. No English consignments are offering. London, February 15. Two Australian wheat cargoes, comprising 3500 quarters, have been sold at 303 9d ; 2000 quarters m iron bottoms have sold for prompt shipment at 383 9d (sic). At to-day's wool auctions the catalogue submitted comprised some 13,800 bales; 16,700 have been catalogued since the commencement of the present serits, of which number 10,000 bales have been withdrawn. The bulk of merinos, with the exception of the best brands, have relapsed to prices realised at last Deem >er sales. Crossbreds remain frm, wuh a slight improved tendency.
