EMIGRATION AND FEDERATION.
London, February 15.
Lord Dunraven, presiding at a meeting of the Colonial Institute, deprecated a system of State emigration. Referring to the subject of Colonial Federation, his Lordship said the only danger to the Empire, m the eventual federation of the Australasian colonies was the possibility that the colonies might then oft sr better trading facilities to foreign countries than England.
