F'AWIB. February 14. The Chamber of Deputies rejected the vote of twenty mi-lion francs placed on the estimates tor Tonquin. The Premier, M. Tirard, thereupon made a statement to the Chamber to ibe effect that the Government would not evacuate that cjuntry, but that the expenditure there would be curtailed m every pdiiible Way.
