THE COPPER RING.
The copper rings have at last arranged to take over and work the copper mines of the Calumet and Hector Company on Lake Superior, Michigan, U.S. For a long time this Company successfully withstood the efiorts made by speculators to get them to reduce the output of copper pro tata m order to raise the price of the metal m the markets, as they are the largest producers m America and as their mines are said to be the richest m the world. The success of the negotiations of the copper ring m thus acquiring the control of the mines has caused not a little sensation m commercial circles.
