THB OLD BLACK PINE.
On tha Babbath day, when labor ia still, And the oxen browße on the plum and hill, With hearts devout the hill we climb, To hear the Word by the Old Biaok Pine. Our ohuroh is the forest spreading wide, Where the treeß shoot forth m lordly pride ; Our roof is the vault of Heaven sublime, The pulpit, the root of tbe Old Black Pine. There the rich and poor together xn^et, The young and the old with aspect meek, Unite their hearts and the hymn they ohims To their father*' God, by tbe Old Black Pine. i Then the man of God, without gown or ban ?s, Bat with powerful voice and outstretohed Proclaimeth tbe Gospel of love divine, [hands 'Nesth tbe fragrant shade of ihe Old Blaok Pine. While the birds rejoioe on tbe leafy sprays, And oarol their hymn to their Maker's praise, And the oohoing low of the humble kine Breaks soft on the ear by the Old Blaok Pine. The Old Black Pine it may fade withVge, Or be hurled to earth by the tempest's rage, But the Bpot will remain till the end of ime, Where we worshipped God by the Old Blaok Pine.
