VICEREGAL CHANGES.
London, February 8 It is officially stated that, for private reasons, Lord Dufferin, Viceroy of India, retires at the end of the year, and that he will be succeeded by the Marquis of Lansdowne, Governor General of Canada.
Lord Stanley, ot Preston, G.C.8., President of the B )ard of Trade m the present Salisbury Administration, succeeds the Marquis <»f Lansdowne as Governor-General of Canada.
