Ear;y In September a wooden CBse was dug up containing r complete set of surgical instrument*, many of which are similar to thosa used iv the present d*y. A few days later four beautiful silver arns of considerable heigh 1 were found together with four smaller oups, eight r pen vases, four dishes ornamented with folisga hnd the figure of anima's, and a beautiful statue of Jupiter seated on hi« tbrono Besides these silver obj ots, several gold ornaments wore found, such as ear-ringa and ring?, Tbe excavations are being rapid 'y pushed forward.
