Correspondence was received from the Oomtni s-otier of Crown Lands, stating that £86 2s lid, refund on lands purohasad m the Settlement had accrued, and asking f»r the plans showing the vaviou* works done m same to ba retaroed.— Tie Olerk was instructed to return them. From the manager of Acton Station, crup'alnJng about- the stite of Hooks' Wn-re road and oa»h»ln crossings. -Tbf C e*k advised tne B >ard that the nr-.d complained of wm one Mr A lan ha wrongly fenced, and that when t te other portion had been formed Mr Allan ha< undertaken to remove the fenet> and form the road, the feuce had been altered but nothing done to the road. — Resolved that Mr Allan's attention bs called to his promise. From Mr Allan endorsing an aoooun* 'or land, and half the o et of fencing b*lla«tpU9.— lt was decided to put £15 on the payaheet for the land, and let the other item stand over till next meeting. The Olerk wm Instructed to have the O*iifornlan thls'le destroyed, and to produce a specimen at the next meeting. 0 'O) plaints were made about some of the water*raoe cro'slot^s, etc.— The Olerk was inuruoted to have them attended to at once. It was resolved to re deposit £2600 fulling dv« on the Bih for 12 months, sou place £500 to ourrent account. On the motion of Mr Lyttelton, seconded by Mr Tuokrr & rate of one farthing In the pound was struck on all : rateable property m the district, payable In one sum at the Board's office oc Feb. j 24'h.
