Messrß H Matson and Oo , reports upon the live etoch market for the week ending January 01st, as follows : — Od Tuesday at the 1 inwald Yards we held our usual weekly sale of sheep, cattle and pigs.. The entry for the day was the smallest » c have seen for a lo» g time, farmers being too busy with the grain to bring any thing forward. The attendance of buyera was also very small, and a very (.rill sale was the resu't. The total entry was 1700 cheep and 10 head of cattle .which sold at the following prices —In I sheep, mixed fat crosabred, 6a 6d ; aged j ewes, 4a ; fat lambc, 5a to 6s ld ; merino I wethers, 4s 3d A liae of 600 store 2- , tooth m poor condition, 3s 6d. In fat cattle — Heifers, £3 18s 6d to £4 7s ; stores, prioes oqual to late sales. On Saturday we sold on account of Mr It. Fercjuaon 4 good heavy draught horses at £22, £25, £26 10a, &nd £31; light draught, £11 10*
