A BANKRUPICY SCANDAL.
Mr Borlase, ex-2> rcretary of the Local Government Board, has been declared a bankrupt. His assets are set down a* and the liabilities at ,£19,000. The bankruptcy has caused a great scandal, and it i 9 alleged that his relations with a Madame De L'Quierros has enabled herj to extort money from him largely.
