Crisp and Strange suoceoded m beating their opponents after four well fought sets, the first two going to them, 6—2 and 6—4. The third, whioh w^s the best contested of the lot, was won by Simpson and Fooks, 6—5. In the fourth the tables were a^ain tnrned, Crisp and hia partner proving victorious, the game being 6-3 At 6 o'clock a Btart was made m the singles, We.ton owing 15, meeting Strange receiving 15. Only one sot was played, a sharp shower from the nor'-west making the Court too heavy for a continuance fitraDge succeeded m lowering Weston'* colors, the game being 6—4. Some very pretty play was witntsaed lv the set. The tournamest will be conti naei j a t 4 p m on Tuesday.
