Last week tbe heaviest flood tbat has been known since 1878 took place m the Bees and the Dart Rivers at the head of Lake Waka'ipu. The whole of the flat and wharf at Glcnorcby were under water, and tourists who visited there had to be transported to tbe hotels m gg ies and boats. .
