Oq the West Aistrallan gildfields, the " Argus" oorrßßpondeat writes :— " The reports from Klmberley are very encouraging ; several large nuggets have been unearthed lately, notably three of about SOoz. eaob ; but it is generally recognised that it Is not an alluvial field. A.t Mount Dockero'l, several qoartz claims are pegged out. A strong syndicate have sent machinery up to MoNeill'a olalm. Water and fuel are soaroe, water being ovor a mile and a half from the line of reef. The teams with the machinery were some miles from the Bold, aud the wet season had commenced m the first week of December. On the Brookman Biver, uuohhnry had arrived for the lady Otr* rlngton Mine. Some heavy nugget* had b>en found on the river. On the Panton River, Grant* reef is looking well ; at Baoher's reef gold is visible In the stona. Within 120 miles of Darby there are 80 man working on the Riohenda River, and more are on their way to It. Owing to the amount of clay m the soil, dry blowing is an impossibility. If they get a fair rainy season a new golafield will likely be proclaimed beforo lonr."
