He went to the bank and draw out 30 dol. from his store. Then he went over to the treasury building, which fs just across the street, and had his three " tens" converted into thirty ''ones." Next he proceeded to make out 30 deposited slips, each for Idol. Tbene he carrrled to the bank, one at a time compelling the poor teller to make thirty separate entries In bis books. The following d*y this young fiend drew out SOJoI. Ag*ln he visited the treasury, but this time he had his money changed into silver quarters, bright from the mint. One hundred and twenty deposit • bkets were then prepared, and a corresponding number of entries had to be made m that unfortunate teller's big books. Then for three days an armistice was declared, bnt at tho end of that time 30dol were again drawn out, and this time it was dimes that he wanted, The regulation deposit slips were prepared once more, and the teller gritted his teeth when he a»w that he was again to be made the victim of the boy's vlndiotlvenesj. At last the 30.0 dimes wore all In the ba,nk, and the young villain prepared to rodqee the roat of his wealth to nlqkles bat he was notified that the bank would insist upon tho thirty days' notice allowed by the law, and for a month the teller rssts.
