Mr Peter W.llianiß (t\»r Friedlander Bros.) report* for tho we>k ending Tuesday, 17' h January, 1888 : — On Saturday, the 14th inst. we hold oar weekly Bale of homes. There wan a large attendance of bayers. The entry consisted of 25 good and medium draughts. Owing to the harvest being ready the demand was very good. .We disposed of the greater portion at very satisfactory prioes, viz , first olaos draughts, £20 10a £30 10.; medium sorts. £17 to £19; aged hones, £12 to £15 ; hack* and harness horsos, £7 to £12 15*. Figs, 25 s ; stores, 12s to 15i. Poi'LTßY— Fowls, Is 91 per pair Produob— Derwentv 3j to 33 Gc! per bag ; kidneys, £d par ib ; oats, Is 8.1 per bushel; bran, 4s 3d per bag; fhnr, 18* 6d per bag ; tea, 12a 6d per box ; oheeie, 3d per lb ; mutton, ljd per lb ; furniture and sundries at far prices. At the Tinwald yards on Tuesday, the 16th lust., tha entrance for sheep was very small ; only 700 oime forward, and about 70 head of cattle. The attendance of buyers was alio very small. But this may be expected now for a few months until the harvest is over. The following are the prioes obtained ;— Fit crossbred ewes, 6« and 63 lOd ; fat mi ted sexee, 7a ; crossbred ewes and lambs, 3« Id to 3i 53, ■11 counted. Fat cows, £4 10 1 to £5 2s 6J ; do heifer*, £3 15i to £3 17s 64.
